Our Founders: A Vision Born in Rural Arizona
Harry and Alisa Hollenbaugh’s entrepreneurial journey began in the charming town of Pinetop-Lakeside, AZ. In October 2016, they launched MTN CLEAN LLC, a husband-and-wife vacation rental cleaning business. From the start, their dedication to excellence set them apart. Fueled by a joint decision and Harry’s knack for web design, he created their first website overnight, while Alisa brought her extensive cleaning expertise to the table. The very next day, they formed their LLC, filed for an EIN, and secured local business licenses—all while living in Snowflake, AZ.
A Spark Ignites a Movement
What began as a small cleaning business quickly grew into a trailblazing venture. Their knack for solving challenges in the vacation rental industry made them serial entrepreneurs with a mission: improving the lives of housekeeping companies and hosts alike. As demand skyrocketed, Harry and Alisa developed their first software solution, Gravity Sheets, connecting WordPress to QuickBooks Time. However, it wasn’t long before they outgrew their initial creation, leading to the development of CleanliSense—a comprehensive platform designed to streamline operations for vacation rental housekeepers and hosts. Today, CleanliSense serves users across Arizona, Texas, Virginia, and beyond.
Transforming Trash Management
Over the years, one persistent issue stood out—trash. Their cleaning team hauled thousands of bags from vacation rentals using personal vehicles, which was neither sustainable nor fair. Harry and Alisa knew there had to be a better way. Determined to create meaningful change, they founded Garbago LLC, purchasing a 10-yard satellite trash truck and integrating its services with CleanliSense. This innovation allowed housekeepers to report trash through the app, setting a new standard for efficiency.
Entrepreneur – Someone who wants to change the world and have a significant impact, who does not want to just build a company that simply creates another product or service. They fundamentally want to improve the aspects of peoples lives.
Introducing the First Smart Waste Bin for Vacation Rentals
Harry and Alisa weren’t content with solving the immediate problem—they envisioned a future where trash management was smarter and more efficient. Asking, “What if we could monitor trash levels in real-time?”, they pioneered the first-ever residential smart waste bin for vacation rentals in the United States. These innovative bins alert the team when they’re full, ensuring timely pickups before new guests arrive. The Garbago Vision
Garbago isn’t just about trash—it’s about transforming how vacation rental properties handle waste. Harry and Alisa have already made significant strides, establishing trash valet services on Galveston Island, TX, in partnership with local expert Danny Krausnick. As they expand to new cities and states, Garbago continues to address critical waste management needs for vacation rentals, ensuring cleaner, more efficient operations for hosts and guests alike.
